Foredoes Me Quite

Matt DeMello (himself) Sigh, the dreaded summer of 2006. The Living Room. The memories. The drinking. The hookups in the parking lot. Not every lyric was screamed, and there were (gasp!)... hooks? Sometimes? That didn't involve drop D breakdowns? If this sprawling self-titled compilation is all we have left, then - and by some strange miracle - (a good chunk of) the best survived. Could a scene ask for anything more?

about

Dear fans of FMQ,

There has been rumors floating around in the last 6 months about the end of “Foredoes Me Quite”. As hard as it is to write this, I think its fair to all of you to give a proper goodbye. “FMQ” formed in the winter of 2005. Since then there has been a huge amount of good times and quite a few bad times. From day one we wrote songs and played shows for the love of music, you, and each other, and for nothing else. Nothing in that aspect changed from practices in Josh’s basement to where we are now. People grow and change and sometimes real life gets in the way. We stuck it out for a few years after key member changes and fill ins. However, the four of us couldn’t make it work in the end. This was our life as much as it was a hobby. We will miss all of you screaming the words to our songs in our faces. I will miss writing songs with Mike, Johnny, Tim, and Josh forever. On a lighter note, we have you to thank the most. We would have been nowhere without all of your support. Whether you came to a show, bought a cd, bought a shirt, gave us a place to crash, fed us, worked with us, booked us, had us sign something of yours, told a friend about us, stayed very late after a show to talk to one of us or give us a hug. It all means the world to us and we are all in disbelief of how good all of you treated us. Thank you mostly to Mike D for giving us a chance when we had nothing and believing in us. We saw a glimpse of our dream come true. If it wasn’t for friends like all of you we couldn’t have toured, headlined Lupos for our cd release, worked with great producers like Rob Freeman, Mike Poorman, Ian, Ray Jeffrey, and Troy Glessner.

We started recording a full length record for all of you and some of it is available. We all worked very hard. Johnny and Dallas are both working hard on new projects and will probably never stop playing music. You can find out more about them soon. As much fun as it was it has to come to an end. Thank you all for listening. It has been a wonderful 6 years and we wouldn’t of spent it any other way.

Unfortunately there probably will not be a final show. However, we posted every song we ever wrote together as a band here. If there is a song you dont see please let us know. Merry Christmas. God Bless. Best of luck to everyone in the future!

Love, Dallas, Mike, Johnny, Tim, and Josh
